Ms Vicki Cutting

Vicki Cutting is a teacher who has worked in Special Educational Needs contexts for over thirty years. Her expertise lies in the areas of Emotional Health and Well-being. She is a qualified Children and Young People’s ‘Improved Access to Psychological Therapies’ worker and part of an Additional Support Team (where referrals to work with the dog are triaged). She also has a Counselling Diploma and is an Advanced Drawing and Talking Practitioner.

Vicki has qualifications in Animal Assisted Therapy qualifications from The Society for Companion Animal Studies and Animal Assisted Play Therapy (IIAAPT) and has completed the Autism Family Dog workshops from Dogs for Good.

She currently works with her dog Wilf. Vicki’s work with Wilf featured as a case study in the book ‘Dogs in Schools: Pedagogy and Practice for happy, healthy and humane interactions’ by Lewis and Grigg.
